The Railway Room Sound Effects Player will consist of:

1. A Raspberry Pi Zero.
2. A Pimoroni 'Pirate Audio 3 W Stereo Amplifier' Mini-HAT.
3. One pair of loudspeakers (8 ohm preferred at least 3 W).

The system will run the Mopidy Player on The Raspberry Pi OS.

It is a design aim that the tracks to be played will be held on a separate USB Memory Stick, to make adding, deleting or modifying tracks simpler.

After studying the different options, the Pimoroni 'Pirate Audio 3 W Stereo Amplifier' Mini-HAT was utilised as is, but using the enhanced software detailed at https://github.com/G-a-v-r-o-c-h-e/PIpod-Nano. This enabled track looping and shut-down to be achieved without requiring access to a network or web browser.

This meant that the use of a memory stick for track storage became more difficult, but it has now been decided to network the device anyway, so changes will be possible over VPN and the WMT network.

The device's IP Address is 192.168.0.60.
