Oh. No. I misread your query. To be honest, I'm not sure, because the only way to set it up (according to the Manual) is via the D-Link Wizard. On Page 183 of the Manual it says to use http://dlink-nas/ to get to the device settings and I cannot recall if I was able to do everything from there or just do the initial setup in Windows.

Once you get to the Settings Page, you can change the IP Address, which is what I must have done.

I'll just factory reset it and figure out what it does then. It's the best way to test my instructions work anyway :)

It turns out not to have one, so I've just put a note in about using the software cd (also on the file server) to do initial setup instead.

I've gotten quite a lot done, but I'll post it tomorrow so I have some time to think about what I need to document next.

Hamish,

In the instructions for the building of the Cross-compile, under 'Menu configuration' you say 'Download the latest version of the configuration from the end of this post'.

Is there any reason why those files at the end of the post can't go into the fileserver?

No, I think I just make the instruction before we had the file server set up.

Actually looking at those attachments, are the old config and ovf.txt files actually needed?

The OVF is useful for re-compressing the VM, though hardly essential, and yeah the old config was just there in case I happened to need it eventually, but we don't need it any more.

The OVF is part of the download for the VM at the beginning of the description.

Yes, it also stores the machine configuration in the OVA file along with the HDD image. We don't necessarily need it as an attachment on that post though.

OK. I'll just copy the latest config file to 'Settings' at https://wmtprojectsforum.altervista.org ... x/Settings.

Does that make sense?
