New valve and joining pipe fitted (yesterday), no sign of leaks.

Went into WMT this morning, the Hanham butts were filling nicely but overall water levels too low to restart river, that was before this afternoon's deluge, I got absolutely soaked during my daily exercise!

Will monitor things over the next few days.

Stay safe, stay well.

You’re right about the forecast, which is a shame for the river but gives me few excuses for not getting on with more installation.

Fitted the control box to the rear wall of the Hanham Room this morning.

Cables not connected yet, will wire up the float switches and depth probes tomorrow, all being well. Might even get around to connecting up the ethernet back bone cable into the patch panel, the other end is still to be connected to the Railway Room switch.

Good.

Are you going to power it up without one of us being there :)

I didn't intend to.

It's probably another mornings work to get the probes and sensors hooked up and then I'll need to get the ethernet cable into the Railway room and connected to the switch.

After that it was my intention to try to re-assemble the Stage butts, then when that's sorted and I have no other pressing things to get on with I'll let you know and perhaps we can arrange a video link up to talk through and do a show an tell on powering up.

Probes and float switches wired in this morning.

I'll be ordering the plumbing shortages for the Stage butts shortly.

Morning all

Not the most pleasant of mornings BUT the river has refilled with water and is flowing slowly again. For some reason the Circulation pump is not being controlled automatically (it will not turn on), I've re-started all RPis a couple of times and waggled the probes but to no positive effect, will investigate further on a less rainy day, in the meantime I've taken manual control of the pump. By the way the Wendy Butts gate valve is working fine.

Before it started raining in earnest I routed the Ethernet cable for the Hanham Room control box into the Railway Room store cupboard, I had to make another hole through the wall for it. I had hoped to get the cable through the same hole and into the pattress with the other Ethernet cables but that proved too difficult.

... and finally I mounted the Mains water solenoid on the wall of the Hanham Room, hoses/plumbing to follow.

Looks good. Do we have some kind of seal in place for the ethernet cable hole in case water gets in?
