Max/Min Float switch

Post by Penri »

Attached are some photographs of the prototype Max/Min Float Switch, a diagram will follow.

Chassis made from a piece of mahogany (door step waste) initially turned into round cylinder, before tenons formed. Dimensions non-critical provided original cylinder OD greater then OD of standpipe (so it will sit on top) and tenon OD less than ID of standpipe (so it slips inside). uSwitch supporting uprights, random hardwood, glued to chassis with outside corners touching circumference.

uSwitch actuators constructed from brass tubing and flat bar, in this case glued, soldering will be trialled for next build which is preferred solution.

I attached it but the application doesn't like "/" in titles so it threw it away!

The Max/Min Float switch was installed in WButts standpipe today, so both WButts and SButts now have the Max/Min type installed.

The cable looms for both have been wired to carry both Max and Min signals ready for connection to the updated I/F boards and software when available.

The min setting for the SButts has been adjusted, when those butts were empty, to signal a minimum level. The other settings on both float switches will need attention whenever the correct water condition are available.

Good news. I shall update the configuration for G4 as well then, so the software is ready for the new interface board.
