Hamish,
I am currently re-embarking on the construction of Gate Valves. As part of this I have repaired the one I have here and am currently configuring it to be the V6 Gate Valve (m6gatepi) with an IP Address of 192.168.0.16 on the WMT Network.
The question I have is regarding the time synchronisation. The last time I was involved in the software at this level we were still synchronising to the Real Time Clock on the Sump Pi using RTC via a command at boot up. I note from the Software Framework that this is now done by the Python code at intervals and the source of the clock is the NAS Box.
Can you confirm that I don't need to do anything except install RTC?

Re: Questions about the Configuration of Devices on this Network
I assume you mean rdate?
Yes, we use rdate now to sync the time with the NAS box, and then use Sump Pi as a fallback. Sump Pi also syncs its time with the NAS box if it can.

Hamish,
Thanks. Yes of course; I meant rdate.
