Re: SITE MAP
As for landmarks I was hoping to use some text to mark out streets and colour-coded areas for different features such is the area of the minster in a different colour. As for the butts and pipes that screenshot is zoomed in so there should be enough room as the whole drawing encompasses all of the area of the model village.
Re: SITE MAP
Jamie,
It is perfectly reasonable to use text to mark out streets. However to allow the Visitors to orient themselves it is useful to have a visual reference, such as an icon that represents something immediately recognisable. When you stand by the Bog Garden and look over the site, there is one thing that no-one can miss; the Minster.
I would therefore suggest that a small icon showing its position would be useful.

Re: SITE MAP
Jamie,
That is very impressive and it's definitely much easier to orient oneself. One very minor point. The building that you have labelled 'Toilets and Model Railway' is actually two buildings; That one is actually The Lady Hanham Building and Toilets and the Model Railway is in the building just to the South of it. There is also a new building, to the South of the Model Railway Building in part of what used to be the Car Park. I've never actually been inside it, (due to being in shielding at home) so I'll leave it to Penri to tell you what's in it

Jamie,
Pretty close I think. I notice that Penri didn't come back after your last version; he sometimes has problems getting the notifications, so I'll send him a message.

Hello
Jamie I think you've done an excellent job with this map, its in good enough shape now to start placing the various icons on.
As Terry says there is another building running alongside the Model Railway building which is called Shed 5.Why Shed 5?, the gentleman who's gifting the building and it's contents to Wimborne Model Town has 4 sheds in his garden, this this one it called Shed 5!
