Alternative USB driver/overlay for Raspberry Pis
Re: Alternative USB driver/overlay for Raspberry Pis
Just checked all the pis are still accessible. All seems fine so I'm going to consider this done and working now.

Re: Alternative USB driver/overlay for Raspberry Pis
Okay, may be worth holding off on updates for all the pis that are using this driver - at home I am having issues with it on an original Pi 1 Model B (256 MB RAM). There is a forum topic here to track the issue and hold details (if anyone replies) at: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 8&t=290772
I continue to use this on my Pi 3 B+ with no issues, and AFAIK there are no issues at WMT, so it may be an issue with this particular pi or power supply. It is second hand, and a very early revision (the first!), so it could be a hardware issue that was later fixed. Nevertheless, I suggest we exercise some caution until I figure out why I'm having troubles.

NB: Bug also reported at https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/3969, we'll see what happens.
The river system pis are running a slightly older version of the kernel etc so might not be affected. There is no evidence that any of them have a problem right now.
