Probes and interface box removed and now stored in polytunnel. Ethernet and DC feed to interface box bagged and tie wrapped to fence to keep them out of the way

Just a note for the record.

The original rubber coupling which joins the 50mm MDPE pipe that feeds the Bog Garden (which we inherited from the old river system layout) to the circulation pump / non-return valve assemble, we installed as part of this programme, had degraded as the result of exposure to sunlight. The coupling was replaced this morning with a new rubber coupling and a roofing slate placed over it to shield it from the sun.
The rubber coupling was not the original choice for the joint but the amount of MDPE pipe protruding from the ground and its location made it impossible to fit a "proper" MDPE pipe coupling and create a water tight joint with it. The rubber coupling was a compromise choice but it has served it purpose well, hopefully the addition of the slate as a shade will extend the life of this one.
