This Meeting was convened because of apparent failures of the measurement of sump levels. Various causes were suggested, but it was agreed that the limits used in the probe measurement software were too tight, so depths were being missed. An updated spreadsheet was posted at
viewtopic.php?p=3861#p3861.
The following Actions were agreed:
- Terry to update the limits and provide them for use on site.
- Hamish to apply the new limits in config,py in SumpPi and test them.
- Penri, to be present on site to observe the results and rescue the situation if anything goes wrong. The following day (Friday) at1130 was agreed
It was also noted that it took less then 20 seconds for a dip to be identified in the columns. It was agreed that this wasn't too much of a problem, but there could be an issue when coupled with the up to 3 minute wait that could be incurred if the NAS Box was rebooting at the same time as the Pi (see
viewtopic.php?p=3857#p3857. It was agreed that SumpPi's startup sequence should include a period of no specific activity other than maintaining the circulation pump and closing the Wendy Gate Valve until good readings are obtained.
