As such, we have uploaded the files currently available at www.hadrian-way.co.uk, to https://wmtprojectsforum.altervista.org/files, where you can now browse and download most of the files. The only exceptions are really large files like SD card backups and the cross-compile environment for the NAS box. The idea is that most of our development files will be easier to find and organise if they are in folders, rather than attached to topics like they have been.
In order to upload, you need an FTP account and an FTP client like FileZilla. Most file managers can connect to FTP servers as well. These have not been set up yet, so currently only Terry and I have upload access. I will shortly begin trawling through our forum posts and uploading the files to the relevant folders on the server.
NOTES:
- 1. It is highly recommended that you connect using FTPS if possible, because this will encrypt your connection. The credentials are the same as with normal FTP.
- 2. If you want to upload anything big (say, over 30MB), please compress it! I recommend using .tar.xz format with the maximum compression option, because this compresses really well, despite being slower than other methods.
