Re: Water Backup Integration Discussion
Incidentally, I couldn't find anything discussing my work on this capability in the forums either, but no doubt, I was simply typing the wrong search terms. I don't know why, but when I used the search tool to identify discussions about this development, phpBB only found this current topic. but whe...

Re: Water Backup Integration Discussion
Thanks Hamish. I seem to misunderstand / misread text more and more these days; probably related to my age (74 today :-) ). It's helpful that you've pointed that out, I had forgotten that i have to take my wife to Dorchester today, so would have been struggling to identify the relevant code in the t...

Re: Water Backup Integration Discussion
Yes it is, but it was all commented at the time, so you should be able to find it once I've sorted it out.

Re: Water Backup Integration Discussion
Andrew, There isn't actually a separate module for the water backup system. Instead, there are functions embedded into the base code. However, having said that, Hamish mentioned earlier in this Topic that he had uncommitted my changes so I'm going to have to dig that code out from my local repositor...

Re: Water Backup Integration Discussion
Hi Hamish,
I didn't know that you were still monitoring this Forum.
For Andrew's benefit, what sort of issues did you find? Syntax can be checked out easily using pylint, but what was wrong from a Style Guide point of view?

Water Backup Integration Discussion
I have set this Topic up to provide an area where AndrewM can post any queries and ideas as he progresses with this activity. I wrote the Water Backup software just prior to lockdown but never had an opportunity to integrate it. At the time, the code was Peer Reviewed and tested by HamishMB, but I'm...

September 2023 Onwards - River System Status
There has been an ongoing issue with the main loop of the system (Sump to Wendy Butts and return) for some weeks now. Various other activities and / or the weather got in the way of pursuing it. About two weeks ago it was established that the Wendy Gate Valve (G4) was not communicating via the netwo...

Re: Resurrection of the Mobile Staff / Volunteer GUI
Following on from Hamish's point about the naming of this tool, I've had a look at the GUI at http://192.168.0.25/engineer-gui, and yes it is still there. I only have a vague recollection of Hamish doing this and had thought that it was never completed. This Topic began to discuss the resurrection o...
